Mojo: director Jez Butterworth

Rivalries between a new emerging rock'n'roll singer, nightclub owner and local gangster lead to unrest and eventually murder. Many opening titles have so much action going on that the opening credits must get out of the way. MOJO had the placement of each credit outside the field of action. This periphery placement produced the best layout. If I am not mistaken the film had distribution problems which were eventually resolved. Barry Norman highlighted the deplorable situation for UK 'home grown' production on his film review programme.
